Scape Series
Sage Grove grew from the idea of something weathered and enduring sitting within a softer landscape. A single column-like form rises through layers of sage, gold and pale neutral tones, surrounded by collage fragments, botanical sprigs and textured marks that give the surface a sense of history. I wanted the work to sit somewhere between landscape and archaeology, as though parts of a place have been uncovered rather than clearly painted. The relief and gilded areas shift as the light moves across them, revealing details that are easy to miss at first glance.
She works beautifully in a hallway, study or smaller living space, especially where natural stone, timber or soft green tones can echo the palette.

Materials + Care
Original acrylic and mixed media on canvas, signed R Solsky, with a certificate of authenticity. Hang away from direct sunlight and damp, and dust gently with a soft dry cloth.

Collect from my studio in Newport
Simply choose the PICKUP tab at checkout to collect from my Newport studio. This lets me know you do not need my help with freight or an installation supplier. There is no charge for this option. I will contact you to arrange the day, time and exact location that best suits you.
