Some paintings ask permission. This one doesn’t.
Radiance II is the most energetic of the three. I began with warmth, building layers of amber, coral and gold until the bloom seemed to expand beyond its own edges. I was thinking about colour as something physical, almost like heat moving through the surface, and I wanted the flower to feel generous and unapologetic rather than delicate. As the work developed, I kept pushing the scale and intensity while leaving enough irregularity in the texture for it to remain human and imperfect. I want the viewer to feel the immediate warmth of the piece, but then notice the quieter layers beneath the stronger colour. For me, it is about confidence, abundance and that moment when something opens fully without holding anything back. Bold and generous, she has enough presence to anchor a living room, dining space or entry on her own.

Original acrylic and mixed media on canvas, signed R Solsky, with a certificate of authenticity. Hang away from direct sunlight and damp, and dust gently with a soft dry cloth.

Collect from my studio in Newport
Simply choose the PICKUP tab at checkout to collect from my Newport studio. This lets me know you do not need my help with freight or an installation supplier. There is no charge for this option. I will contact you to arrange the day, time and exact location that best suits you.
