Radiance III grew from the contrast between darkness and luminosity. I wanted the bloom to feel as though it was emerging from the surface rather than simply sitting on it, so I built the work slowly through layers of deep chocolate, gold, rose and texture. I was thinking about that moment when something fragile can still feel powerful, and how a flower can hold both softness and intensity at once. I want the viewer to notice how the work shifts as they move closer, from a bold, almost graphic bloom at a distance to a much more layered and imperfect surface up close. For me, the work is about presence: something luminous holding its ground against a darker field.
Radiance III has found a home. Radiance I and II are still available, and commissions are open if you would love a work like her.

Materials + Care
Original acrylic and mixed media on canvas, signed R Solsky, with a certificate of authenticity. Hang away from direct sunlight and damp, and dust gently with a soft dry cloth.

Collect from my studio in Newport
Simply choose the PICKUP tab at checkout to collect from my Newport studio. This lets me know you do not need my help with freight or an installation supplier. There is no charge for this option. I will contact you to arrange the day, time and exact location that best suits you.
Delivery and installation are an EXTRA COST
